Seventeen-year-old Genny developed a strong affinity for the band *NSYNC as she battled a life-threatening medical condition. Her wish to meet the band came true when she and her family traveled to Chicago for the group's Challenge for the Children event. The trip included a special one-on-one meeting with all the members of *NSYNC.

According to Genny's mother, "Genny has always been a big *NSYNC fan, and I have never seen her that happy before." Genny also told her mother that for the first time in her life, she wasn't sad that she was in a wheelchair. While all the other *NSYNC fans had to wait in line to watch the band, she had the opportunity to skip the line and actually meet the band.

Genny's wish was made possible through the combined efforts of HVAC Distributors, Inc. and the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Susquehanna Valley. According to HVAC Distributors Sales and Marketing Manager Steve Melniczek, "Make-A-Wish is a good cause that helps us live up to our mission statement – that HVAC Distributors be positive contributors to the communities in which we live. Although it's a national organization, it's still made up of local individuals, and it affects local children and their families in a positive way. That's the real payback for us."
