Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Mid-South

Sixteen-year-old Derick began playing the guitar as a young boy and loves music. It came as no surprise, then, that his wish was to meet his favorite rock band, Alter Bridge, and jam with guitarist Mark Tremonti. His wish came true when Luxaire® distributor Thomas Somerville Company teamed up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-South and sent Derick to Michigan for a jam session with the band.

During the meeting, Derick played guitar with Mark Tremonti and created memories that will last a lifetime. When he returned home, he and his mother joined Make-A-Wish representatives for a tour of the Luxaire distributor's Upper Marlboro, MD, facility and the opportunity to share his trip memories with those who helped make the trip possible.

"We are definitely sold on the partnership between Luxaire and Make-A-Wish," said Jim Middleton, HVAC sales and product manager with Thomas Somerville. "The program does a great deal of good for people in our communities – people like Derick. And if we can continue to bring some happiness to these kids and their families, then we're going to make every effort to do that."
